Bio: Born from a father from the city and a pagan mother, Eleni was raised in a pagan village in the forest outside of the city limits. The village, being one of the closest to the city, was prone to frequent hammerite attacks. Eleni's father, a sympathizer and messenger boy for the city would often sneak into the village and warn them of upcoming attacks and help them either prepare or hide. He soon fell for Eleni's mother and the two formed a very strong bond, soon finding themselves expecting a child. The hammerites were soon growing suspicious of the pagan's superior knowledge of their raids and set up a trap for the one betraying them. They quickly caught him and executed him for treason, leaving his wife alone as she had their one and only daughter.
Eleni's mother quickly became a cold and cruel woman after this, barely raising Eleni at all and constantly neglecting her. Because of this the poor child developed a powerful inferiority complex. Growing up she decided to train to become a shaman, learning powerful magic in the art of summoning nature to do her bidding. Still, it wasn't good enough to earn her mother's praise.
When Eleni reached her teen years, she became curious about the city. Her father was from the city, and she never once got to meet him. She would often wonder what it was like to live out of the forest and among the tall stone buildings. Working for money to live and eat rather than hunting and building on her own. As soon as she became an adult she went to her village elder and asked for their blessing to seek adventure in the city. The elder knew Eleni was struggling to be happy in the pagan village and let her go, with the promise that she would return from time to time to keep the village up-to-date on hammerite and mechanist progress.
With no money to start with, Eleni started selling herbs, spices, and flowers on the street for gold to pay for food and an apartment to live in. She had to be careful though, avoid the hammerites and mechanists, as well as the city watch (as many of her pagan herbs are illegal in the city). She soon bought herself a green hooded cloak, to conceal her identity when she was out selling her product so that she could roam freely when not making money.
Her rose choker she received from a customer, as a token of thanks for selling him herbs that saved his daughter's life. Being her first gift and the first sign of appreciation she had ever received, Eleni wears the choker everywhere she goes, refusing to take it off as she sees it as a reminder that she is much more important than her mother ever led her to believe. Even with the choker though, Eleni still has one HELL of an inferiority complex. She is easily swayed by people who take notice of her.
A side note: Eleni loves the taste of mint leaves and anything flavored with the oil of mint. She also has an unusual fondness for coffee beans.
Strengths: Able to perform powerful pagan spells that can manipulate the earth.
Weaknesses: Has a paralyzing phobia of fire, but will never explain why.
Alliance: Neutral Good
